This workshop will take place in Derbyshire. The Peak District is a fantastic place to view and photograph the White-throated Dipper, the UK’s only aquatic songbird, .
The Dipper requires a habitat of fast flowing rivers or streams, normally found in upland areas of the UK, the Dipper feeds almost exclusively on underwater invertebrates and larvae, but can also feed on small fish.
Price: £130 per person or £220 for 2 people booking together.
Restricted to 4 people maximum.
EQUIPMENT REQUIRED
Your chosen camera setup.
A focal length of at least 400mm is preferable.
Spare memory cards and batteries.
I recommend being hand held for this workshop to allow the greatest flexibility although a beanbag may be useful as a lens support.
Warm clothing and durable, waterproof foot wear such as walking boots or wellingtons.
Waterproofs just in case!
NOTES
There is plenty of parking available on site.
A walk of 30 - 40 minutes on undulating ground is required to reach the site.
The Dippers are very active & mobile - therefore there may be a need to do some moderate walking.
